Last week, I wrote about the booming NFT market, and its developing interest in the British graffiti artist Bansky, as art restoration company Exposed Walls announced a sale of 10,000 edition of the ‘Gorilla in a Pink Mask’ work, commonly attributed to Banksy. Now they are announcing what the promised surprise $1 million dollar work one lucky owner will win after the edition is sold out. ‘Refugees’ was painted in Glasgow at the same time that Banksy was creating his ‘Peace is Tough’ exhibition, undertaken at the Arches Glasgow. One piece from the exhibition went on sale this year for £1.6 million.

The winner of the piece will be selected at random and announced once the entire edition of 10,000 fractionalised sections of the ‘Gorilla in a Pink Mask’ wall is sold. The owner will then have the chance to decide whether they would prefer to own the physical artwork, or whether they would prefer to add to the crypto-collection that they will be able to build with Exposed Walls, as the company releases future NFTs of other Banksy works. Is they choose the physical piece, Exposed Walls are reportedly willing to store it for up to a month while the owner organises just where they will store the rather large concrete piece.

To register for the Exposed Wall NFT sale, and a chance to win this valuable Banksy piece, sign up at the Exposed Walls website, linked here. The sale will start on 12 January, and Exposed Walls are running a number of competitions for the ‘Gorilla in a Pink Mask’ edition. To keep up to date with all the competitions, follow the company on Twitter, or on their discord channel.
